I tried to think of something cute that I could give away this week leading up to the 4th of July, and decided that these new felt sparkle watermelons would be just right. They really say "summer" and picnics and barbecues and all things wonderful to me. I love the crystal "bling" for the seeds!

I am really excited to work on a bunch of new stuff next week. I will be putting my Etsy shop in vacation mode July 2-9, and although http://www.mylittlepixies.com will be accepting orders, processing times will be extended from the usual (except in special circumstances) because I am taking a week off to regain focus and relax and be with my family and try to find my creative space again. I've been so busy recently that I feel like I just need a break for a week or so! I have SO MANY IDEAS that I want to try, but no time to try them! So what the heck? I work for myself- I'll take a vacation! 


I can't wait to introduce you to new colors and maybe even get to perfect a new technique or two! It's my goal to get my fall "line" started as well because autumn and then the crazy holidays will be here before we know it and I want to be prepared to have totally awesome stuff in my shop- and also prepared to balance increased seasonal demand with savoring the precious moments with my girls- one of whom is turning FIVE on Thursday!!

Here she is with her daddy at the family birthday party we had this weekend with my mom and dad and sisters and bro and nephew this weekend- 10 people sleeping in our little house! So much fun! :)
