PINTEREST Giveaway- $20 Gift Certificate

This week's giveaway: A $20 gift certificate to ANYTHING in either one of my shops! You can pick your own prize! :) I have a NEW entry method only for this week: use http://www.pinterest.com/ to PIN your favorite item from either my Etsy shop at http://www.mylittlepixies.etsy.com/ or my personal shop site athttp://www.mylittlepixies.com/, and COMMENT either on the blog or on Facebook to tell me which item you pinned! A random winner will be selected from all pinners on Wednesday morning!

I know this is a bit more work than the usual entry methods, which is why I'm offering a bigger prize than usual, PLUS it will be great for those of you who have entered week after week for a long time without winning anything because chances will likely be significantly better than usual. :) Happy pinning!

The reason I decided to try this method of entry this week is that I wanted to do a little study to see if I can quantify the effect of Pinterest pinning on my business. I'm also curious to see which items clients really like so that I can make more of the things people want to see! I have lots of great ideas of my own, always swimming around in my head, but one of my very favorite things about being in a "people" business is getting to know YOUR tastes and provide what YOU are looking for. :)

I'm a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful girls, Carolyn (4 1/2) and Nora (almost 2). About the time that we felt that God wanted me to step down from my part-time job as a pharmacist at a local retailer, the opportunity to start selling the things I've always loved making with my hands appeared. Ideas began to flow, ribbon and fabric started to pile up, and my "secret lab" in our basement became a refuge of creativity for me. It's a place where I have begun to learn to express myself as an artist, to allow what God has given me to flow through my hands and into the work I take so much pride in. In the summer of 2010, My Little Pixies, LLC, was born, named for my children (because we always joke that they are so tiny and pixie-like! Also, it's been a season of Tinkerbell and friends for my 4-year-old! :)). It's been a really fun time so far, and I look forward to using this blog as a way to connect with clients and friends around beautiful things!
